Christina's Approach
Christina uses the mogen method to circumcise. This time-tested technique has significantly less manipulation of the skin compared to the alternatives and takes about a minute for the actual procedure. It also has an excellent cosmetic outcome.
A multi-step pain management approach is offered to accomplish Christina's primary goal of decreasing discomfort to the newborn. You may choose all, none or some of the options below. Comfort & Healing Measures
Christina performs the procedure on newborns up to one month old. Most parents schedule the circumcision for about a week after birth, when blood clotting is more favorable and mom's breast milk has come in. A vitamin K treatment for the newborn is not required. She is happy to accommodate circumcisions on the eighth day, even with short notice. Anticipate 45 minutes to an hour for the visit. Time is built in to feed your little one following the procedure and to thoroughly discuss aftercare instructions. Christina understands the sensitive nature of the visit and places great emphasis on answering all questions, maintaining a calm and pleasant demeanor and providing comprehensive teaching on what to expect during the procedure and healing afterwards. Christina has a proprietary educational presentation with pictorial examples of what's to be expected as well as the rare complications to be on the lookout for. Complications occur less than 1% of the time but she feels it's important to fully educate parents on this topic because googling isn't always...helpful, to say the least. She doesn't want any question to go unanswered. She checks in with every client and is available for follow up questions or visits. Complimentary, of course. Still feeling uneasy? Read her reviews! They are all dated and from real moms and dads like yourself that were once in your shoes. She does zero "marketing" or advertising. The longer she has offered this service, more and more of her inquiries are coming from the referrals from past satisfied clients. |
